“The Sundoor at World’s End” is an evocative phrase that brings up a lot of questions. What is a sundoor? And why would it appear at the “end” of the world? And what does the end of the world mean? I’m grateful to have been invited to address this topic again, as it’s been a focal point of my work reconstructing ancient Maya cosmology.
